Danbury Museaum & Historical Society kicks off Creativity Sessions with "Draw from the Archives for Inspiration"
Danbury, CT - On Wednesday, March 28th, the Danbury Museum & Historical Society will host the inaugural gathering of ‘The Pen & Paper Creatives Collective' from 7pm to 9pm. The launch of this new group is geared toward utilizing museum resources to nurture creativity.
“We’re excited to open up the museum space, archives and collections as a means of inspiring people. It is also a great opportunity for us to share the many artistic assets of the museum,” stated Brigid Guertin, Executive Director.
The group will be led by Danbury resident, Michele Lee Amundsen - museum volunteer, writer, editor, blogger and photographer.
“I hope that Greater Danbury creatives – be they writers, artists, designers, doodlers – will join us for this evening of encouragement and fun,” shared Amundsen.
Attendees will be encouraged to draw inspiration from the many artifacts and archival items that will be used and displayed during these sessions; such as vintage photos, old school yearbooks, scrapbooks, postcards and more.
“The Danbury Museum is a great place to foster your creative potential. Whether you have a project in the works or just need a little help summoning the Muse,” said Amundsen, “this will be a welcoming environment for discussion, exploration and sharing.”
This event is FREE & open to the public as part of the museum's 'Locally Grown' series sponsored by the Savings Bank of Danbury.
