- Abraxas, headlining on Friday, July 27th, is the definitive Carlos Santana Tribute Band. Abraxas doesn't just play Santana's music, they recreate it in exquisite detail! Inspired by the incredible intensity of his music, the members of Abraxas share a passion for recreating the electrifying sounds of Carlos Santana. Audiences, without exception, have been awed by the authentic Santana sound that Abraxas delivers during their stunning shows. With Abraxas, it's all there: the propulsive Latin percussion, the fiery lead guitar work, the "groove" that connects to the soul of the audience. With a playlist full of both old classics and new favorites, Abraxas has something for everyone! Opening sounds will be provided by Conexion Limbica and the evening’s “Non-Profit in the Spotlight” is CentroHispano, the Hispanic Center of Greater Danbury.

The Mercurial Gallery Exhibit Opening - 5PM-7PM
- The Mercurial Gallery in downtown Danbury, Connecticut will be exhibiting its first staff show from July 28 to September 7. A myriad of writers, artists, designers, and friends of The Mercurial's online magazine and its brick and mortar gallery will be showing works in a variety of mediums, including sculpture, photography, mixed media, and writing. In addition, The Mercurial will be launching its new magazine website at the staff show's opening reception, taking place on Saturday, July 28 from 5 to 7pm. The new, sleek website is the work of local artist and designer Robert Rae, who will also be showing his artwork in the exhibit. The July 28 staff show opening reception includes a meet and greet of the artists and refreshments.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil - World Hepatitis Day Fundraiser
- In support of World Hepatitis Day, there is a global effort aimed at having the most people performing the “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” action in 24 hours. Employees, along with the Mayor, are getting together to support this cause by organizing a local Guiness World Record attempt at the BI Americares Free Clinic in Danbury.

- Future Tense, in performance on Saturday, July 28th, is a rock dance band from Fairfield and Litchfield counties in their thirty-first year! They have one self-produced recording of original songs entitled "YBU," and is currently in preproduction for its next original disc, "Zen Lemonade Stand." The band most recently garnered the I-95 Best Local Band award for four years in a row, and is poised for either world domination, or a trip to Lourdes, France; whichever heals their rocking pneumonia and boogie-woogie flu. Opening for the band is DP Acoustic and the “Non-Profit in the Spotlight” is DAWS (Danbury Animal Welfare Society).

Danbury Fields Forever – 10AM-8PM
- The lineup, which includes artists representing The Beatles’ various band eras and solo careers, will feature Pete Santora, who has portrayed George Harrison in the Broadway, national and London productions of “Beatlemania.” His musical theatre credits include the national and European tours of the original “Godspell.” He has appeared on screen in “Goodfellas,” “Godfather 3” and “Prizzi’s Honor,” as well as on TV in various episodes of “Law and Order.” Born in the Bronx and now a resident of Kingston, N.Y., Santora continues to perform his solo tributes “Being The Beatle,” “Harrisong” and “Liverpool Cowboy,” as well as recording and producing his own original music.

Also scheduled to appear is world-famous rock & roll artist Shannon. There will be vendors with souvenirs, memorabilia and collectibles; food and beverages available for purchase; and special attractions for kids including face-painting, inflatables and more. The event is sponsored by Union Savings Bank, Wells Fargo Advisors, Charter Communications, 98Q, B107.3 FM, WLAD and the News-Times.
