by Deidre McClain We had extended an offer to anyone involved with the theft of the $3,400 proceeds from Saturday's PYC dance to return the funds anonymously by Tuesday morning, and they would not be charged with larceny which is a felony. Many witnesses came forward and named three 16 year olds responsible for this crime. Two persons immediately came forth with their share of 'the take' with sincere apologies for their misguided and impulsive actions. The third individual came forward late yesterday, but has not returned his share of the theft nor extended, to our knowledge, an offer of making restitution as of Tuesday morning. We will now proceed with requesting the Ridgefield Police Department charge him with this felony. In our effort to recoup our loses before our grant decision making in May, we are appealing to anyone willing to help. One of our members, Jack Kaufman, had previously arranged for this Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7, a fund raiser with Matt at Piccolo's Pizza. With our coupon, 5o% of all profits will be donated to the PYC. You can dine in or take out. PLEASE help us raise the money that we lost. Kindly print your coupon from our website: www.ridgefieldpyc.org which will be posted to the site this afternoon.
