Town and school officials in Newtown have been working with counterparts from Monroe to use Chalk Hill School for our Sandy Hook students. The Chalk Hill school building was partially mothballed several years ago but is in very good conditionand will accomodate our entire Sandy Hook School program. The process of preparing the building has begun in joint effort of our staff, the the Monroe staff, Trumbull workers, and the professional services arranged through the State of CT. The specifics of that school facility opening for Sandy Hook students and staff are being developed by our Newtown school personnel and will be distributed soon.
