Trisha Soucy has served as a school administrator for the past three years, and has been working in the field of education since 2002.  Her classroom teaching experience is in the area of English/Language Arts.  She then moved from the classroom to the role of Supervisor of Humanities in Montville Township, New Jersey, where she oversaw curriculum, instruction, and assessment from K-12 for the English/Language Arts and Social Studies departments.  Following, she served as Principal of Riverdale Public School, a Pre-K – 8 school in Riverdale, New Jersey.  Trish received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Behavioral Science from Drew University.  She then completed her Master of Science Degree from the University of New Haven in Education.  Subsequently, Trish acquired a Master of Arts Degree in Education Administration.  She also completed additional graduate coursework at Rutgers University and the University of Connecticut in the areas of curriculum and instruction.

Trish has been recognized as an “Urban Teacher Academy Hero” (The College of New Jersey), as well as named a "Gifted Child Society Fellow" (and attendee of Confratute at the University of Connecticut).  Even before officially entering the field of education, Trish has always worked with children and young adults beginning as a camp counselor, as well as a counselor at the Governor’s School of New Jersey.  Trish grew up in Waterbury and is returning to Connecticut to serve the Bethel Public Schools and to be closer to family.
