A New Derma Clinic Knows What Makes a Great Facial

According to my research, the following steps make the difference between a good facial and a GREAT facial.

A good aesthetician will ask you a series of questions or present you with a questionnaire when you arrive.  This information lets your aesthetician (a state-licensed skincare professional) know about your medical conditions, current medications, and skincare regimen. The answers will help avoid using potentially irritating ingredients. Next they will scrutinize your cleansed complexion under bright lights and a magnifying glass -- but don't wince if she notes that your skin is imperfect. Unless you haven;t hit puberty yet, your face likely has blackheads, imperfections, uneven skin tone, or dehydration around the eyes.  During my last visit I was asked who did my eyebrows.  I replied "ME".  The aesthetician who I am friendly with politely said "Don't touch them again!" What a difference a good shaping of the eyebrows make!

A good aesthetician pays attention to the details such as adding a pillow underneath your knees, soothing music or giving you a paraffin hand treatment. Of course they also need to pay attention to the bigger details as well such as placing the steamer no closer than 12" from your face, paying attention to allergies and medications indicated during the questionnaire portion. During my last extraction session the aesthetician even performed a few extractions from my EARS!  Talk about details!

Feeling relaxed and pampered is nice, but should see better-looking skin at the end of your treatment. You should notice long lasting effects including your makeup going on smoother!
