Bethel High School Graduate, Mary Duffy, Passes Suddenly at 48

Mary Elizabeth Duffy age 48, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 7, 2015.
Born in Tarrytown, NY, she was a daughter of Thomas and Carmella Duffy. Mary was an administrator for the Garden City/Murrells Inlet Fire Department. She was a graduate of Bethel High School in Bethel, CT and Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT with a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a son, Ethan Thomas Duffy of Murrells Inlet; brothers, Thomas J. (Kelli) Duffy of Bethel, CT and Joseph M. (Nancy) Duffy of Sandy Hook, CT; 7 nephews and nieces, Madison, Carson, Hayden, Harrison, Samuel, Jacob and Savannah.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Ed Fitzgerald officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Monday.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Garden City/Murrells Inlet Fire Department for their heroic efforts on her behalf.
