Bethel Public Library to Celebrate Founder's Day with Music and History

The Bethel Public Library celebrates Founder’s Day with a music and history program on Thursday September 24 at 7:00 pm in the Library’s Community Room. Please join us for "On the Job: Historic Songs of American Work and Trades" to hear Rick Spencer, our favorite historian/musician, perform songs about farmers, peddlers, housewives, railroaders, soldiers, sailors, and other hard-working folks. He'll also include a discussion of the labor movement in America, and the modern use of songs which describe work.
The program will be enjoyed by adults and students Grades 6+. Registration is required due to space constraints. Please call 203-794-8756 ext. 4, register at the website www.bethellibrary.org, or sign up in person at the Library. Sponsored by the Library Board of Directors.
All Library programs are open to the public and meet accessibility requirements for the disabled. Those needing special accommodations should contact the Library 2 weeks prior to the program to make arrangements. Bethel Public Library, 189 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, CT.
