Walnut Hill Community Church Welcomes New Lead Pastor, Teaching to Team

Walnut Hill Community Church is excited to announce the addition of Rev. Dr. Shawn Winters to their leadership team. Shawn will be serving as the new Lead Pastor, Teaching, alongside current Lead Pastors Adam DePasquale (Executive) and Craig Mowrey (Development.) This new appointment aligns with Walnut Hill's mission of "Igniting a passion for Jesus in Connecticut, New England and around the world." The church has campuses in Bethel, Derby, New Milford and Waterbury, as well as Online.

With extensive programs for children, youth, young adults and seniors, Walnut Hill is a diverse church dedicated to helping people grow in faith across all generations. Their comprehensive care programs provide vital support to the community, including Cancer Support, Mental Health Support, Celebrate Recovery, GriefShare, DivorceCare and more. Additionally, Walnut Hill's food pantry serves over 1,000 people each month, demonstrating the church’s strong commitment to local outreach.

Shawn brings a wealth of experience and a profound sense of calling to New England. He has served as a senior pastor in Minnesota for the past 10 years and holds a doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts. Shawn's role at Walnut Hill will largely focus on preaching and leading the church's discipleship programs.

Shawn's inaugural sermon as Lead Pastor, Teaching will take place on Sunday, July 28, at the Bethel Campus at 9 and 11 a.m. All are welcome to attend. This special occasion marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the church as it continues to serve its congregation and the greater community.
