The New York State Police announced that over the June 1st weekend they removed 27 impaired drivers from our roadways. A dozen of those were in the Brewster, Somers and Carmel areas. Below are excerpts of a press release detailing those arrests.
On June 1, 2019, State Police from SP Somers arrested Lisa M. Canecchia, age 43, of New Castle, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 100 in the town of Somers, when she was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 1, 2019, State Police from SP Somers arrested Kyrone Doughty, age 37, of Bridgeport, CT, for DWI and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of North Salem, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol operating with a suspended license, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 1, 2019, State Police from SP Somers arrested Brett George, age 21, of Carmel, NY, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of North Salem, when he was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 1, 2019, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Kevin T. Hayes, age 52, of Newburgh, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Kent, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 2, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Abrahan E. Ramirez, age 28, of Danbury, CT, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 2, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Zachary S. Dargaty, age 48, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested

He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 2, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Angel E. Yanez Balarezo, age 27, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Turk Hill Road in the town of Southeast, when he was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 2, 2019, State Police from SP Somers arrested William R. Arauz Marquez, age 29, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of North Salem, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 2, 2019, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Jorge R. Aguilar Lojano, age 30, of Peekskill, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the town of Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On June 2, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Logan N. Brandt, age 55, of New Lebanon, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 20 in the town of New Lebanon, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
