Algonquin to perform maintenance at their Tulip Road Transmission Facility

Algonquin Gas has notified the Town of Southeast that they will be performing maintenance at their transmission facility on Tulip Road this week. The maintenance will involve the opening of valves once or twice a day on the dates listed for 10 minutes each time and may result in some noise and odor. However, there is absolutely no cause for alarm and there will be no danger to persons or property in the area according to a letter sent to the Town by an Algonquin employee, Christian DiPalermo.

The work will be preformed this Wednesday April 14th through Friday April 16th.

The Algonquin Gas Transmission Facility is a compressor station for the bi-directional flow transmission of natural gas. The natural gas compressor station is one of many that span the nationwide pipeline grid that provides the necessary pressure increase to maintain the flow of natural gas
