Brewster Native Kevin McKeown Introduced as Men's Lacrosse Coach at Binghamton University

Kevin McKeown was introduced as Binghamton University's men's lacrosse coach at a press conference Monday afternoon. McKeown graduated from BU in 2006 and then served as an assistant coach and interim head coach for the Bearcats.
"Having gone through two four-year stints here-one as a player and one as a coach-I'm pretty familiar with the place and what the student-athletes go through on a day-to-day basis," said McKeown. "I feel I can relate to them pretty well and I'll be able to mentor them pretty well as they go through good or bad times, on the field or off, or in the classroom."
The Brewster, New York, native was inducted into the Binghamton Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014. From 2009-2010 and 2012, McKeown was the Bearcats' defensive coordinator and goalie coach. He was BU's interim head coach for the 2011 season, leading Binghamton to a second-place finish in the America East. He has also been an assistant coach at Siena and Bellarmine.
In 2016, Binghamton won four games. Joe Licata was named to the America East All-Rookie Team. Licata is one of seven starters returning for the Bearcats in 2017.
