Chamber Foundation announces next Leadership Dutchess class

The Chamber Foundation, Inc. is proud to welcome the Leadership Dutchess Class of 2017.  From 35 applicants, 30 adult professionals were accepted after interviews and committee review. This is the 28th class of Leadership Dutchess, The Foundation’s signature leadership program designed to foster professional development.

Over a nine-month period, the class will participate in monthly full-day leadership training sessions conducted by regional leaders and experts. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit local tourism destinations and meet with county government officials. Before graduation in June, the class is responsible for planning a fundraising event and participating in a community service day; helping to unite the leadership lessons taught during the program.

On Thursday, September 15 the program year will commence at The Henry A. Wallace Center at The FDR Presidential Library and Home in Hyde Park – the quintessential location right here in the Hudson Valley from where one of America’s great leaders made history.

Tom Weddell, from RBT Accounting & Consulting Services and honorary graduate of the Class of 2014, and Lisa Morris, from Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union and graduate of the Class of 1999, will be guest speakers and throughout the day, participants will have an opportunity to meet each other as well as the Leadership Dutchess committee leads. The session will conclude with a tour of Springwood and the FDR library and museum.

A welcome reception will be held in the evening for employer sponsors, board members, Alumni mentors, and program sponsors to formally welcome the class.
