Halloween Happenings at Stew Leonard's in Danbury

Stew Leonard’s Danbury store announces the Halloween Happenings it is hosting throughout the month of October 2016, including:

 

Halloween Hay Bale Theater

This October 2016, Stew’s Hoedown will be transformed into a Hay Bale Theater to show a free children’s Halloween-themed movie! The movies will be shown on  Friday, October 21 and Friday, October 28. For movie titles and additional information, please see in-store.

The movies begin at 6:00 P.M., with seating opening at 5:45 P.M. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Pumpkin Carving Demo

Pumpkin carver Lenny Calvin will be at the store on Sunday, October 16, 2016 to bewitch shoppers with his elaborate Halloween-themed etchings on the store’s pumpkins.

The carving will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for customers to see and enjoy as they pick out their own pumpkins. The carver will use knives, chisels, and X-Acto knives to create a spooky scene on the pumpkins.

 

Danbury Stew's Halloween Breakfast with the Characters

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, families are invited to attend a Halloween Breakfast with Stew’s most loved characters. 

The first breakfast seating will be at 9:00 a.m., followed by a second seating at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $9.99/each for children 11 & under and $12.99/each for children over the age of 12 and for adults. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and have their picture taken with a pumpkin. Families must sign up in advance at Customer Service.

Halloween Hayride Spooktacular

This is a family-friendly hayride. The maiden hayride takes place until Monday, October 31, 2016. Hours of operation are:

Monday through Friday: 3:00 P.M. until Dusk

Weekends: 10:30 A.M. until Dusk

 

Trick-or-Treat with the Stew Leonard’s Characters

On Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., children are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s to go trick or treating throughout the store. Each department in the store will have a candy station for kids to stop at. Children can come with their own bags or Stew Leonard’s will provide one for them. Stew Leonard’s famous characters, including mascot Wow the Cow, will be available for taking photos with the children.

  

Halloween Day Trick or Treat

On Halloween day, Monday, October 31, 2016 children who come to the store in their costumes will receive a free ice cream.
