Letter to Editor: Student Focuses on Helping those with Pediatric Cancer

Dear family and friends

This is my 3rd year raising money for Patterson Relay For Life... I have always done Relay with my family in memory of my Grandpa Tony who died 3 weeks before I was born... last year I raised $5,561 which I think is pretty good for an 11 year old.

This year I decided to form my own team called Team Teenie...i want to focus on pediatric cancer... while its sad that adults get cancer .. its even sadder for children... we have lost several kids to cancer which is not fair and very sad.

I have done several fundraisers and plan on doing more to help those with cancer by providing education, research and services... 2 children that I know are in treatment.

Please consider donating in honor of Sean Cadden and Gia Gentile... and in memory of TY Campbell, Kevin Blackman, Sean Callahan and just this week Erin Bentivegna... you can purchase a luminara in their honor for $10

I would love to have you on my team and join us at Patterson Fire Department on June 10 from 9 am until midnite... its a day of celebrating survivors and caregivers and honoring those we lost..
