A Visit to Bannerman Castle Special Tour on May 20

Join the Putnam Valley Historical Society for a day-trip to scenic and historic Bannerman Castle and Pollepel Island. Our tour begins by rail from the Peekskill Train Station and continues by boat from the Beacon dock. Arriving at Pollepel Island, we’ll be welcomed by a 72-step climb up from the landing (there’s a rest stop along the way).

Parking is Free on Saturday (if you need a ride or can offer a ride, let us know)
We will return to the Peekskill train station at approximately 2:30 pm

  •  Wear comfortable shoes. There is rough terrain along the tour.
  •  Dress for the weather – the tour runs rain or shine.
  •  In some areas of the island there is no shade – consider sunscreen and a hat.
  •  Bring drinking water.
  •  There will not be a lunch break – eat a hearty breakfast and bring a light snack.
