Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company honors Chief Wayne Gravius & Captain Roger Prinz

Last night, Monday, July 10, Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company honored Chief Wayne Gravius on his retirement as Fire Marshal for the Town of Brookfield and Captain Roger Prinz on his retirement from the United States Air Force reserves as Chief Master Sergeant. 

Chief Gravius served as our towns Fire Marshal since 1985, and part time since 1982. He also worked from 1972-1985 for the town's Public Works Department. 

In addition to his duties as Fire Chief and now a part time Deputy Fire Marshal, he continues to be the Emergency Management Director for the town and a part time Special Police Officer with us at BPD. 

Chief Gravius is a second Generation, 46 year member of our company. His oldest son Michael is a 26 year member and his youngest son Tim is an 18 year member of the company

Captain Prinz was assigned as Fire Protection Chief at Westover Air Reserve Base. He spent 4 years active duty and 27 years in the reserves. He was deployed 3 times to Iraq, Kuwait and the UAE. 

Captain Prinz is a second generation member of the BVFC and has been a dedicated firefighter for the Town of Brookfield since 1984.
