State Police Detectives Investigate New Milford Police-Involved Shooting
Connecticut State Police detectives assigned to Western District Major Crime are investigating a fatal police-involved shooting that occurred in New Milford.
Through the course of the investigation, State Police detectives and the OCME determined one New Milford police officer fired their weapon striking the male.
- Deceased: Kostatinos Sfaelos (dob 6/3/55) of New Milford, CT
- New Milford Police Officer: Christopher Hayes (age 33), hired April 2014.
This New Milford Police officer-involved shooting remains under investigation by Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime detectives and the State’s Attorney’s Office.
