Brookfield Republican Candidates Voted 

at Caucus, Certified by Town Clerk

Brookfield Republicans held a caucus the evening of Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Whisconier Middle School, Brookfield for the purpose of voting on candidates for the 2023 Municipal Election to be held on November 7, 2023.

The caucus was suspended for a recount of the contested seats which was completed on Friday July 21, 2023 with attendance by representatives from both sides (this would include the BRTC Chairman and challenging candidates) along with the Registrar of Voters, the GOP State Central Representative and legal counsel. State GOP officials were consulted.

What was believed to be a ballot overage was not the case. It was determined that the count from Thursday night was due to a clerical issue. All issues were resolved to the satisfaction of both sides. All parties involved were aware of the vote totals on Friday after the recount, and not Saturday as some sources have claimed. 

The individual who was nominated from the floor Thursday night for the one open seat on the Board of Education declined to sign the certification and was therefore disqualified. 

The final list of fifteen (15) candidates certified by our Town Clerk on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 are as follows:
