The Valley Music Series is pleased to have the Havenwood Quartet performing at Valley Presbyterian Church on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 3 PM. The quartet features Michael Ferri, violin; Matt Cone, violin; Alex McLaughlin, viola and Miriam Liske-Doorandish, cello. The Havenwood Quartet is a multifaceted young ensemble fluent across a range of genres from classical, to folk, to pop. Formed in New Haven in 2022, the quartet is Connecticut’s resident Candlelight Concerts ensemble, performing weekly at the Bond Ballroom in Hartford. Their diverse program on March 3rd will include Nordic folk tunes; Komitas, Armenian folk songs; works by Caroline Shaw, Joseph Haydn and Astor Piazzolla’s Tanguedia III. The concert is free with a suggested donation of $20 at the door.
