Family of Bachelorette Contestant from Greenwich Launch Tyler A. Gwozdz Charitable Foundation

Tyler Gwozdz, a former contestant on The Bachelorette passed away suddenly at the age of 29. Gwozdz appeared on Season 15 of the show with Bachelorette, Hannah Brown.

According to NBC News and multiple other media outlets, Gwozdz died in Florida after following an overdose.

Tyler's family started a fundraising campaign in his honor with a mission to increase local education on the disease of addiction and to support and finance addiction recovery programs, according the Go Fund Me page.

"The devastation and heartbreak caused by addiction is, unfortunately, becoming a reality for too many families across the United States as the epidemic of this disease continues to spread. It is our hope that this foundation can help, in any way, to lessen the burden of addiction for families like ours in the future," the family said.
