Greenwich-based Gunner Wins 2023 GAF Cutting-Edge Contractor Competition

Gunner, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based company that provides roofing, siding, gutter and window installation services to customers in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, today announced that it is the winner of the prestigious 2023 GAF Cutting-Edge Contractor Award. 

The competition invites GAF Master Elites to share new innovations, creativity and thought-provoking concepts at the annual GAF WealthBuilder Conference & Expo, with the grand prize, 2^nd and 3^rdplace winners being selected by voting of attendees at the event.  Gunner presented its proprietary platform for online roofing estimates that allows customers to easily shop for and fully purchase a new roof, winning the vote to secure the grand prize at the Austin, Texas based event.

Additionally, Gunner has been selected as a 2022 President’s Club Awards winner.  GAF Master Elite® President's Club Award winners are selected from an elite group of roofing contractors that must first demonstrate proper licensing (in states that require it), maintain insurance, a proven reputation, and a commitment to ongoing professional training. In addition, qualifying contractors must also have met the criteria to earn the designation of a GAF Master Elite® residential contractor. Less than two percent of roofing contractors nationwide qualify for this award, earning one, two, or three stars for meeting specific criteria across high standards for reliability and service.

Andrew and Eddie Prchal launched Gunner in 2017 working with the core mission to deliver a customer’s vision, while providing exceptional quality of work, unmatched customer experience and utilizing creative technological solutions.  Servicing customers in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, the company provides roofing, siding, gutter and window installation services working with brands including Anderson Windows, Brava Roof Tile, GAF and James Hardie.  Gunner created a proprietary platform for online roofing estimates allowing customers to easily shop for and fully purchase (including opting into financing options) a new roof.  An in-house educational program, launching in 2023, will also shake up the industry standard, offering new hires and continuing education for team members utilizing a protype house with a removable roof built for training.

Gunner is a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association, and amongst other associations, certifications and honors, are part of the elite GAF President’s Club and James Hardie President’s Club, CertainTeed SELECT ShingleMasters and Anderson Certified Contractor.  The company was recognized on Inc. magazine’s third annual Inc. 5000 Regionals: Northeast list in 2023 (coming in at number 55), and the winner of the prestigious 2023 GAF Cutting-Edge Contractor Competition.
