Fashion Arts Xchange-20th Anniversary

The Fashion Arts Xchange Group, a peer support group for both aspiring and established fashion professionals, was founded in 1994 by Croton resident, Gwen Sargeant, herself a designer, and fashion educator.  The group, which champions diversity and resource sharing, took the ocaission to award it's first ever Make it work award, to Harlem's Princess Jenkins   at the New York Horticultural Society, in Manhattan. The award, which was conferred by Project Runway's remarkable Tim Gunn, was preceeded by a fashion show comprised of  designs by Franklin Rowe, Michi, Pinky Sez, and the Hudson valley's hottest new designer, Hope Franklin.
