Needed: Items for Thanksgiving Baskets

The Community Action Committee of Danbury (CACD)  is asking local community groups, businesses and churches if they'd be willing to put together Thanksgiving Baskets for our clients.

From their Facebook page: CACD is an integral part of a nationwide network of Community Action Agencies dedicated to the task of eliminating poverty in the American society in the 21st century. Since 1967, CACD has provided a variety of social service programs ranging from early childcare to elderly fuel assistance in order to assist low income families and individuals with their changing needs, to reduce poverty and enable clients to be self sufficient.
We are a non-profit, multi-faceted agent serving 19 towns in Northwestern Fairfield and Litchfield Counties. We provide array of services to our clients. The programs we offer are:
Action Early Learning Center, Food pantry, diaper program, Emergency assistance, Housing Assistance (Eviction, Foreclosure Prevention Program, and Homelessness Prevention & Rapid Re-housing Program), Energy Assistance and Weatherization, RSVP( Retired & Senior Volunteer Program), VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance).
