RVNA Presents Aging with Attitude on January 13

The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is offering an educational presentation on Wednesday, January 13, on the subject of “Aging with Attitude – A Coping Mechanism Seminar” at Ridgefield Crossings Senior Living in Ridgefield, located at 640 Danbury Road.  Laura Switzer, RVNA Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will be the presenter.  The seminar will focus on learning ways to avoid and cope with stress, depression, anxiety and other aging issues. The presentation begins at 2:00 pm and will be held at Ridgefield Crossings 3rd floor upper deck.  Light refreshments will be served.  Attendees should RSVP to (203) 403-4383. This event is free and open to the public.

About The Speaker

Laura Switzer, LCSW, ACSW received a Bachelor of Science in Public and Community Health from Southern Connecticut State University and a Masters degree in Social Work from Fordham University.  She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has been with RVNA for nearly thirteen years.  RVNA’s medical social worker, Laura supports the patient and the patient’s family in a myriad of ways. She supports the emotional and social aspects of care and recovery, from long-term care planning and case management to advice on ways to reduce family stress.
