Virtual Art Show at @287 Gallery in Danbury Opens this Friday

Effective. Not a word normally heard at a non-profit brainstorming session. "But it should be," says Lisa Scails, Executive Director of the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut. Entering a new year, the Cultural Alliance's staff and Board have stepped back to assess the organization's accomplishments, then map a 2016 calendar that reflects what the Cultural Alliance does best, how each program serves its stakeholders, and what is most effective in meeting current goals, always keeping in mind intent: Living Creatively & Energizing the Economy. "The exhibition kicking off our upcoming year at @287 Gallery & Meeting Place will mark the beginning of a countdown to a big celebration. Stay tuned," she adds.

The Impact Arts Collection with works by Frank Kara, a group show featuring award-winning and acclaimed visual artists who live and work in the Greater Danbury area - and some beyond - opens on Friday, January 29th with a free public reception, 5:30pm to 7:30pm, at @287 Gallery & Meeting Place, 287 Main Street, Danbury. To RSVP for the reception, go to bit.ly/1mSMT3N

The exhibition runs through Friday, April 15th. Please note new gallery hours: 10:00am to 4:00pm Thursday and Friday, 11:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday. The collection draws from the artworks of artists represented in the collection of Impact Arts, a fine arts publisher located on 12 Finance Drive, Danbury.
