What a great first week packed with excitement for Danbury Police Department's Junior Citizen Police Academy Campers!
Campers got to learn the basics of becoming a police officer, went to the Danbury Museum & Historical Society to learn about DPD history and conducted a simulation/investigation of a Crime Scene.
In addition, the Academy participants visited the Danbury Fire Department - CT training center for a demo on how firefighters and ambulance personnel respond to incidents with some of the equipment they use. And if that wasn't enough... how about a trip to the Hartford Yard Goats to catch a baseball game and a visit to the Groton Naval Sub Base, Groton CT to check out our United States Navy in CT!
Thanks to Chick-fil-A Brookfield, Connecticut, Hartford Yardgoats, DFD, Danbury Museum, and the US Navy for helping make this an incredible experience for our Danbury Junior CPA campers.
