UPDATE: 4:40 pm on September 4 from Danbury Police:
The police department has received many inquiries from the public and the media concerning the earlier reported homicide. Unfortunately, we have no further information at this time, as investigators are working tirelessly to identify the person responsible for the death and to gather evidence from the crime scene. In respect to the victim's family, we will be withholding the name of the victim until the morning to provide the family an opportunity to make appropriate notifications. We are expecting to provide another update before noon on 09/05/2019.
At the present time, there is one deceased victim. Investigators are currently seeking involved person(s) but have no reason to believe other members of the community are at risk of harm, as preliminary information indicates the incident was not a random act. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending the notification of family members.
