City of Danbury Announces Public Presentation of Proposed Downtown Zoning Updates
DANBURY, CT — The City of Danbury is pleased to announce a public presentation of proposed changes to the City’s Downtown zoning regulations, scheduled to be held on Monday, November 4th, 2024, at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of Danbury City Hall (3rd floor).
This meeting will include a presentation of the recommended amendments and will be followed by a question-and-answer period. The presentation will provide an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to learn about the proposed zoning updates and voice their opinions. The Department of Planning and Zoning has been working on these updates with the goal of improving the Downtown zoning regulations to allow for a wider range of uses, reduce parking requirements, encourage the development of affordable housing, and incentivize redevelopment. These recommended amendments follow a well-attended workshop conducted last November to explore ideas for rezoning the Downtown.
