Community Events & Announcements

Next City Council Meeting (Mayor's Budget Presentation): Tuesday, April 2nd, 7:30pm, City Council Chambers.

Ask the Mayor!

I'm excited to bring "ASK THE MAYOR" to Danbury residents!

As part of my initiative to increase transparency, communication, and engagement throughout our city, I will be answering residents' questions.

Questions from residents exclusively related to Danbury matters can be submitted on the Ask the Mayor page on the city website, or in the comments on live Ask the Mayor videos.

I will answer questions via Facebook LIVE or pre-recorded videos that will be posted on the City of Danbury's Facebook page.

Spring Leaf Pickup

As a courtesy to our residents to help with their yard clean up needs, and to dispose of their leaves free of charge, the City of Danbury runs a Spring Leaf Pick-Up program for six weeks.

ONLY LEAVES bagged in PAPER LEAF BAGS with NO TAPE should be left at the curbside in front of residences for the city’s Highway Department to pick-up.

NO TAPE OF ANY KIND, NO PLASTIC BAGS, NO LARGE DEBRIS, NO GRASS, ROCK, DIRT, GARBAGE OR ANIMAL WASTE, NO BRUSH or TREE STUMPS.

BRANCHES WILL BE PICKED UP SEPARATELY. Limbs must be cut into lengths no longer than 4 feet, no limb may be larger than 4 inches in diameter. Branches must be bundled with twine in bundles no heavier than 35 lbs.

The Leaf Pick Up program is divided by I-84; Section A is south of I-84 (zip code 06810) and Section B is north of I-84 (zip code 06811).

Residents are asked to place their bags curbside on Sunday evenings.

Clean City Danbury Day is BACK!

This program allows Danbury residents to discard debris and unwanted items at one of five locations throughout Danbury free of charge. Proof of Danbury residency is required.

See you on May 4th, 8am - 12pm!
