Danbury Senior Center Raffle to Benefit Veterans War Memorial Fund

The Elmwood Hall Danbury Senior Center has introduced a quilt raffle to support the Afghanistan Iraq Veterans War Memorial Fund. The Senior Center's Quilting Society has meticulously crafted a large patriotic quilt, currently displayed in the Elmwood Hall lobby. Susan Tomanio, Director of Elderly Services, expressed her gratitude for the Quilting Society's efforts, stating that the organization is thrilled to support such a noble cause.

Individuals may purchase raffle tickets for $5.00 at the Senior Center or donate through Venmo at @DanburySeniorCenter (indicating that the donation is for the raffle). Donors who contribute through Venmo will be automatically entered into the raffle. The drawing for the raffle winner will take place on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. All proceeds will be utilized towards building an  Afghanistan Iraq Veterans Memorial in Danbury.

This will be the first of its kind in the State of Connecticut. For more information
