Rob Morrison, WCBS-TV News Anchor to Serve as Master of Ceremonies at the Darien YMCA Grand Reopening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Grand Reopening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony set for Saturday, September 15th 10am
Rob Morrison, WCBS-TV anchor of CBS 2 News This Morning and At Noon with Mary Calvi, will preside over
the Darien YMCA Grand Reopening as Master of Ceremonies at the Ribbon Cutting Event. Among the officials scheduled to participate in the event are Congressman, Jim Himes; First Selectman, Jayme Stevenson; State Representative, Terrie Wood; and State Senator, Bob Duff.
Morrison is a broadcast news veteran with 20 years of experience. For almost ten of those years, Morrison was a successful anchor and reporter at WNBC-TV. Morrison has anchored the Emmy Award winning morning show “Today in New York” and he also appeared regularly on NBC’s Weekend Today and MSNBC.
Morrison and his family moved to Darien last year and are active members at the Darien YMCA. The Grand Reopening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place this Saturday, September 15th at 10am. Following the ribbon cutting event, there will be a host of special events, which are open to the public free of charge, including sailboat rides, pony rides, music, magic and more.
