The 38th annual SoNo Arts Celebration is getting ready to close down the streets for a one of a kind arts and entertainment festival that showcases local artists and crafters and area businesses.

The SoNo Arts Celebration will be in full swing on Saturday and Sunday, August 3-4 as a marketplace and exhibition for artists, sculptors, woodworkers, and pretty much any type of creative person there is. IN addition there will be live music, plenty of food vendors and SoNo restaurants that will also serve food with al fresco dining areas, and local businesses hosting open houses and fun activities.

But wait! Before the Saturday and Sunday hours take place, there will be a kickoff party on Friday, August 2 at O’Neill’s begins at 6 p.m. with live music by Sophistafunk, followed by Strange Machines, Brian Wilson, and a late night silent disco. Please note that all ages are admitted from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. but after 10, you must be 21+ to stay.

On Sunday, you won’t want to miss an arts fest tradition, the Puppet Parade! The puppets are created by volunteer artists of all ages from the community on Saturday from 10-6 and on Sunday at 1 the puppets “take flight” down the SoNo streets to the drumming and music of Sounds of Afrika.

The SoNo Arts Celebration’s artist booths/tents are open on each day from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. On Saturday the festival entertainment will last until 11 p.m. and until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
