Double Exposure Dress Theft

Anne Curtis, 32, of Hoyt Street was arrested by warrant on Friday, January 24th for an incident that occurred on November 15th according to police reports.

Employees at Double Exposure found dress tags on the floor, and soon after a women who had just tried on six items, exited the store.  An employee took the woman's license plate number down as she drove away.  Upon reviewing video tapes in the store, they saw the women take 6 items into the dressing room and return 5 to the rack.

Double Exposure reported the incident to Darien Police and officers went to the home of where the car was registered.  They interviewed Curtis, she admitted to taking the dress and agreed to return it. Several weeks past and the dress was not returned according to police.  

Darien Police filed a warrant for Curtis's arrest, and she turned herself in Friday. She was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in court on February 3rd.
