DARIEN BOOK AID NEEDS BOOKS

Darien Book Aid Plan is in great need of book donations to promote its mission of fostering literacy around the world. The book donations are used to fill requests from Peace Corps Volunteers, school administrators, libraries and correctional institutions.
Each year, Book Aid sends close to 1000 boxes of books to over 50 countries, and more than 500 boxes of books to agencies in the United States. Domestic destinations include schools, libraries, health and anti-poverty agencies, and correctional institutions.
Books most needed to fulfill Book Aid's mission are:
Children's fiction and non-fiction books
Children's Spanish and French books
Young adult books
American and British literary classics
Art books
Atlases
Agriculture text books
Basic health care
English language dictionaries
English/Russian dictionaries
Nutrition
Reference text books, less than 5 years old
World geography

Your book donation can help Book Aid in its mission of fostering literacy worldwide. Donations of books can be left at any time at Darien Book Aid's lobby at 1926 Post Road, Darien. Tax forms are available.
