The Philip Johnson Glass House Summer Party

THE summer party of the year takes place in New Canaan on Saturday, June 14 from 12:00 - 4:00pm and the weather forecast is looking perfect - partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s.

The Philip Johnson Glass House Summer Party, with the support from Swarovski will feature canapés and a festive picnic lunch - prepared by the brilliant Brian at Elm Restaurant. There will be Taittinger champagne, lawn games, music by DJ ARP and a harpist, a silent auction and the stunning Fujiko Nakaya: Veil exhibition. A new series entitled 'Six Panels' presents the work of Al Taylor in the Glass House Painting Gallery.

This is the only occasion where guests, dressed in summer chic will be given the freedom to wander around the 49 acre estate and picnic where they choose. Experience the campus and party with friends, just as Philip Johnson used to.

Limited tickets are available (see below) so don't delay in booking HERE.

$10,000 Table Host* (Includes ten VIP seats and one signed benefit edition print by Candida Höfer).

Transportation: Cars can be parked at West School where courtesy BMW cars will transport you to the Glass House. For guests traveling by train there will be regular shuttles going back and forth

There are only two days remaining for the Summer Party Silent Auction, sadly for me the Harry Bertoia Bertoia Brooch, 2013 has sold. The benefit auction for the Glass House, powered by Paddle8 will close on June 14th. To view and bid on items click HERE

The Philip Johnson Glass House, a National Trust Historic Site, offers its 49-acre campus as a catalyst for the preservation and interpretation of modern architecture, landscape, and art; and as a canvas for inspiration and experimentation honoring the legacy of Philip Johnson (1906-2005) and David Whitney (1939-2005).
