Silverstein's "The Fourth" appears in the childhood's classic read, "Where the Sidewalk Ends (1974)", a collection of children's poetry written and illustrated by Silverstein. This book is found in classrooms and homes across the country. Silverstein is also the author of "The Giving Tree" (2014 marks the 50th anniversary of this best selling children's book).
