New York Times Columnist Paul Sullivan will lead panel discussion on “The Art of Giving Back” Nov. 5 at New Canaan Country School

The New Canaan Country School Alumni Council and Office of Community Development will sponsor a panel discussion on The Art of Giving Back Thursday, Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m.at New Canaan Country School in the Stevens Building.  This event is free and open to the public. The conversation will be led by Paul Sullivan, New York Times “Wealth Matters” columnist, NCCS parent and book author, who will sign copies of his books, “Clutch,” and “The Thin Green Line” following the presentation. The books will be available for purchase at the event.

As its mission states, New Canaan Country School “inspires students to be lifelong learners with the courage and confidence to make a positive contribution to the world.” Alumni of the school have gone on to make a mark in many ways. Three of them will share their experiences as part of the panel discussion. They are Holly Donaldson, Class of 2004, a youth and community leader at AmeriCares; Jeff Erdmann, Class of 1978, Managing Director at Merrill Lynch; and Willy Oppenheim, Class of 2001, Rhodes Scholar and founder of Omprakash.

Additional panelists include former New Canaan Country School parents Linda Marshall, founder of MissionBridge Philanthropy and former President of the Board of Stepping Stones Museum; and Joe Toce, Managing Director of Andersen Tax.
