Darien Graduates Named to Class of 2016

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker offered some practical advice for the Class of 2016. The class included 550 students at Union's 222nd Commencement.

Ashwin Basu, of Darien, CT, received a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology

Margaret Close, of Darien, CT, received a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Anthropology cum laude

Hannah Halstrom, of Darien, CT, received a Bachelor of Science majoring in Neuroscience cum laude

Barry Patrick Fitzsimmons of Darien, CT graduated with a degree in media arts and design from James Madison University during the May 6, 2016 commencement exercises.

Fitzsimmons was among nearly 3,875 students who received undergraduate, master's, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.
