TONIGHT Rowayton Fireworks Light Up the Sky!

Rowayton Civic Association (RCA) July 4th Fireworks on Tuesday, July 4th at 9:15pm

Bayley Beach (rain date: July 5)

Rowayton Fireworks will light up the sky offshore from Bayley Beach Tuesday evening, July 4. The fireworks, sponsored by the RCA, will be launched from a barge beginning at 9:15pm. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes. See below for more information on parking and picnicking. 

Thank you to the Sixth Taxing District, Wee Burn, Roton Point, the Tokeneke Club, the Belle Island Association, the Rowayton Beach Association and the Pine Point Association for their generous contributions to help fund the Fireworks.

The scheduled rain dates are as follows: Rowayton will have their rescheduled show on July 5 if Norwalk has not had their July 3 show cancelled. If Norwalk’s show has been cancelled, and Rowayton’s show is cancelled, Rowayton will have their show on July 6 and Norwalk will have theirs on July 5.

 

Parking and Traffic

Access to parking at Bayley Beach will be according to daytime rules: vehicles with a Bayley Beach sticker will be admitted, a $40 Special Event Parking Fee will be charged to non-residents. The parking lot is expected to fill up early. For Bayley Beach rules and regulations, visit the Sixth Taxing District’s website.

Cars parked illegally will be towed to the lower lot of the Rowayton Community Center; owners will be fined $50 plus towing costs, payable at 11:00pm. Afterwards, cars will be taken to Connecticut Towing, 13 Church Street, Norwalk.

For approximately 30 minutes following the display’s conclusion, there will be no southbound vehicular traffic on Roton Avenue and Pine Point Road from McKinley Street to the Bayley Beach turnoff in order to allow vehicles and pedestrians departing from Bayley, and the Roton Point and Weeburn Clubs to leave the area quickly. Additionally, the Bell Island Bridge will be also be closed to southbound traffic for 30 mins.
