Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Pamela K. Pik College Consulting!
Three questions with Pamela Pik, owner of Pamela K. Pik College Consulting.
Why did you start my business?
Around 10 years ago, my oldest child was starting to think about the college process, and as parents, we wanted to be involved, and be helpful. It seemed overwhelming and far more complicated than when we applied to college. So, I wanted to learn as much as possible and help other families in the same situation.
My service is comprehensive, the same "package" for almost everyone. It includes a career assessment, finding best-fit colleges, and advising on the application and essays.
Do you use any local businesses to support your business? Can you name them?
I use a Stamford business for printing, and I share an office at Office Suites of Darien on Old Kings Highway South. I enjoy meeting other local proprietors through the Darien Chamber of Commerce.
Pamela K. Pik College Consulting is located at 30 Old Kings Highway South in Darien.
