Why Darien Nonprofits Matter: The Serenity Project, horses helping humans

Why Darien Nonprofits Matter
Three questions with Ted Grogan, Executive Director of The Serenity Project.
Why did you start your nonprofit?
Our non-profit was formed to help those recovering from trauma and addiction heal with equine therapy.
What is your best-selling product/service?
Our two-hour sessions are open to all to experience equine-assisted therapy.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Mountainside Rehab Services. Newport Healthcare in Darien. Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx. Ascendant Rehab NYC. Open Doors in Norwalk. Liberation Programs in Stamford.
The Serenity Project is located at 46 Great Island in Darien.
The Project combines traditional talk therapy facilitated by a licensed therapist with the transformative insights that only direct interactions with horses can offer. The Serenity Project provides these services free to those in need.
