Trek into Trek for your Bike Needs... and Riding Events

Trek Bicycle Store, at 1215 Post Road, Fairfield, has everything you could want to meet your biking needs. It's also a host of and resource for great biking events in the area. Consider the following:

Saturday Group Rides:  8am all moderate to fast levels encouraged. (Beginner ride was cancelled for Saturday, May 19)

6am moderate/fast ride every Monday, Wednesday, Friday out of Physical Synergy located at 340 Post Road in Fairfield.

Ride of Silence this Wednesday night May 16th at 7pm is still scheduled to go out.  Rain cancels.  You may call the store for details 203-256-8735.  Trek will close at 6pm, so make sure you have all your supplies for this ride. The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road and remain silent during the ride. There are no sponsors and no registration fees. The ride, which is held during National Bike Month, aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways. Trek Women in Business! Trek will have a table at the Moffly Media Women in Business event on Wednesday May 16th from 5:30 to 9:30pm at the Loading Dock in Stamford.

Sprint Triathlon - Tricks and Tips May 17th.  Join Trek Thursday night at 6:30pm for a coaching session with Pascale Butcher as she shares her Tips and Tricks to a successful Sprint Distance Triathlon.  There are still a few spots left if you compete in the Trifitness Seaside Sprint Triathlon on June 10th please go to  www.trifitness.net  Packet pickup will be at Trek on June 8th and 9th during business hours
 
Bike to Work Day Breakfast May 18th  Go green! Fairfield Bike Walk Coalition is sponsoring a breakfast at Chef's Table in Fairfield from 7am to 9am.  Trek Bicycle Store will also be there doing free bike adjustments.  RSVP to Andy Graceffa at  fairfieldbikewalkcoalition@gmail.com

Happy Bike Hour this Friday May 18th!  Happy Hour at the Trek Store this Friday from 5pm to 7pm, with a viewing of the Big Bear stage of the Tour of California on the big screen.  Watch Radioshack and Chris Horner tear up the mountain stage.  Enjoy wine and pizza with the Trek crew.  RSVP to Lou at  lou@trekfairfield.com

Ride with Tim Johnson on Monday May 21st!  Six Career National Championships, Bronze Medal from World Championship, ambassador of the Ride to Washington supporting Bikes Belong and all around good guy Tim Johnson will join Trek as a Thank You to Matt Snow from the Trek Store.  This past March Matt supported the March Ride from Boston to Washington DC that raised $100,000 for Bikes Belong, an organization that maximizes funding for bicycling in our country.  Ride at 6pm for a Compo Beach loop with Tim Johnson; Party at 7:3pm with food and drinks provided by the Trek Store.
