After a 12-year run at the Westport Weston Family Y, David Cohen, longtime Vice President of Operations, is leaving the Westport facility to take a position as the Senior Director of Youth Development at the YMCA of Greenwich.
"It has been my great pleasure to work alongside David Cohen, not only to serve our members and community each day with the best programs and services possible, but also to "build what matters" -- our modern new Y at Mahackeno," said Rob Reeves, Westport Family Y CEO. "It is with some sadness yet much gratitude that I ask you to join me in wishing Dave a fond farewell and best wishes as he embarks on the next stage in his Y career."
For his part, Cohen said, "It has been an honor to serve this community, along with countless staff and volunteers. I would like to thank you for the last 12 years. The people I have gotten to know, through my roles at the Family Y, have been wonderful. There is so much generosity and genuine warmth. You will truly have earned the beautiful new Y, when it is completed in a couple of years. I'll be sure to join you at the ribbon cutting."
