Veteran Hair Stylist Carole Purificato Lands at New MY SALON Suite Complex

Fairfield, CT -- As MY SALON Suite busily prepares for its January 13th Open House event at its 427 Stillson Road, Fairfield site, Carole Purificato is happily dressing up Salon 107, her very own corner suite within the complex. After more than 25 years in the hair styling business, the seasoned pro is ecstatic to finally have an independent space over which she has total control.

Born and raised in Fairfield and a 1985 graduate of the National Academy of Bridgeport cosmetology school, the licensed stylist had worked at Hair, on Fairfield's South Pine Creek Road, for the past 26 years – essentially her first and only job out of school.

"I started as an assistant there and went through its training program, and also trained with some of the top stylists in the industry, traveling to Europe and the West Coast for education," Purificato said of Hair and that time period. "It was a great experience, and made me the master stylist I am today. But I needed more security for my future. At a certain point, you get to a level where you want to be on your own and grow something for yourself."

Purificato said there are many advantages to MY SALON Suite, which is actively leasing its personal salon spaces in its suite complex to beauty and hair stylists. "In this environment, you can own your own salon and not have to worry about others like you would in a larger salon. You can also be more efficient and spend more quality time with your clients."

The features of each salon suite had definite appeal to Purificato. Each space comes equipped with custom-made dark wood cabinetry, a styling chair, a styling station with full-length mirror and pull-out storage, a shampoo station, a dryer station and a color bar with granite countertops and backsplash.

"The whole place is intriguing and the concept is so new to the area," she said. "People like privacy. They are so busy and rushed. This is like a sanctuary, away from the hustle and bustle. I feel calmer and have become calmer in this environment. It's bright, sunny and tranquil, and the lighting is phenomenal. They thought of all the components. The details are perfect."

Purificato's own Salon 107 space officially debuts January 7th. She will offer men's and women's haircuts, coloring/highlights, keratin treatments, blowdrying, styling work, permanents and conditioning.
