Westport Y to Host Mossman Indoor Tri March 2nd

The Westport Weston Family Y will host the second annual Mossman Indoor Tri at the Y on Sunday, March 2. Conducted in partnership with Team Mossman Triathlon Club, the indoor triathlon consists of a 15-minute lap swim, 25-minute cycle on a spin bike and 20-minute run on a treadmill.

The 2014 Mossman Indoor Tri will take place from 8 am to 1 pm at the Family Y's facility in downtown Westport and is open to Y members and non-members alike. The entry fee is $45 per individual; $65 per relay team.

First-time triathletes are welcome, either as individual entrants or as part of a relay team.

"If you're a runner, swimmer or cyclist, the Family Y will help set you up with other entrants so you can compete as a team," said Jay Jaronko, Senior Program Director for the Family Y.

"Team Mossman isn't just about racing, it's about enjoying exercising and the camaraderie, all in support of a good cause," said Robin Myers, Race Director. Proceeds from this year's Indoor Tri will help support the Family Y's Annual Campaign, which helps to ensure access for all who want to participate in Y programs and activities.
