Fairfield RTC Members Running For BOE Under “A Voice for All Children” Platform

Republican Town Committee members Anthony Calabrese, Jason Li and Trisha Pytko are each seeking election to the Board of Education this November, united under the platform “A Voice for All Children”.
Calabrese, Li and Pytko have all pledged to work in a collaborative manner at the BOE table. Their top focus is to champion fiscally sound budget proposals that responsibly address the needs of all children without unnecessarily burdening taxpayers.
To seek out cost savings, Li said they “will advocate for a high school program audit and will pursue operational cost savings such as combing Town and BOE departments like Information Technology.” Calabrese stressed that he, Pytko and Li “stand in support of the Board of Education Code of Ethics, ‘Standards of Leadership for Members of the Boards of Education’ as recommended by the CT Association of Boards of Education Board of Directors.” While Pytko, a graduate of Fairfield public schools herself, said that all three are “proponents of neighborhood schools and equitable teaching space for all teachers and students.”
Calabrese is currently a member of the Town Planning and Zoning Commission and the Recreation Coordinator for Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department. He is married with three children and a PTA member at North Stratfield School.
Pytko, a middle school science teacher for Region 16, is seeking her first elected office position. She is a member of SEPTA and has one child who is currently enrolled in Fairfield Public Schools.
Li is currently an RTM Representative from District 8 who serves on the RTM Education and Recreation Committee. He is a member of the Holland Hill School PTA and married with one child.
Committed to open communication, Calabrese, Pytko and Li welcome feedback and are happy to answer any questions from constituents. You can email them at: Anthony.calabrese1@gmail.com, Trisha.pytko@gmail.com and Jasonli.fairfield@gmail.com
