Kentucky Derby Celebration at Fairfield's Bigelow Center, May 6

Fairfield, CT - Spinning off from traditional Kentucky Derby celebrations, the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities will be celebrating Derby Week in a big way by hosting its first-ever Bigelow Downs -- on Sunday, May 6, from 2-5pm.

Giving a nod to long-time Center supporter Bigelow Tea, six wooden horses named Constant Comment, Earl Grey, Mint Medley, Orange & Spice, English Breakfast and Cindi’s Tea Bag, will race down a track. Open to the public, Fairfield residents are invited to join the festivities, pick their favorite horses and wager $2 bets to win cash prizes. 

Prizes will also be awarded to attendees, who in true derby fashion, don the Best Hat and Bow Tie.

All bets are that it’s going to be FUN!
