Girl Scout Eco Quest
Saturday, April 2
10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Attention Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts—nature badge programs are back this spring at Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Fairfield, Saturday April 2, from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Audubon’s teacher naturalists will guide explorations in the Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary to satisfy badge requirements for: Daisy “Clover’s Story,” Brownie “Outdoor Adventurer,” Brownie “Outdoor Creator,” and Junior “Art Explorer.” Times and costs vary by badge. Little Nature Explorers
Tuesday, April 5 & 26
11 a.m. to Noon

What do animals do in the spring? How do they prepare for the warmer temperatures? Children ages 2 to 3, with a participating adult, discover the answers at Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Fairfield on Tuesday, April 5 and 26, from 11 a.m. to noon. Spring Peeper Prowl
Friday, April 8
7 to 9 p.m.
The high-pitched chorus of spring peepers is one of the telltale sounds of early spring. Come to Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Fairfield on Friday, April 8, from 7 to 9 p.m., for a guided evening walk in the sanctuary to listen and search for these tiny frogs in the marsh and ponds. Spring Bird Seed Sale
Saturday, April 9
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Stock up on bird seed for migration season at Connecticut Audubon’s annual spring sale, Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Fairfield. Save 20% on all varieties of bird seed and suet. The Nature Store’s knowledgeable staff can advise on seed choices, feeder selection and answer general back-yard birding questions. Annual Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 16
9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Egg-citement is building for the Annual Egg Hunt at Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Fairfield. This favorite spring tradition takes place Saturday, April 16 with four times to choose from: 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Ideally suited for children up to age 8. The event also includes fun-filled family activities, socially distanced visits with a special bunny, snacks and a spring craft. Entire program is outdoors; held rain or shine. Adult and child CAS member fee: $10 per person; adult and child non-member fee: $12 per person. April Break Camp
Tuesday, April 19 through Friday, April 22
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Welcome back the animals and plants that have been hiding all winter, and see what they’ve been up to at Connecticut Audubon’s April Break Camp, April 19 – 22, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Fairfield. Each day will have different activities for kindergarten through grade 2. Campers will explore and look for evidence of spring’s arrival in the Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary. This outdoor program includes games, live animals, crafts and log rolling.
