Fairfield, CT - "Comics Bring The Heat" is set to be the winter's warmest "fun-raising" evening. Comedian Andy Pitz headlines the event Friday, February 23 at the Scandinavian Club in Fairfield, with seven additional "warm up" comics, including Fairfield residents Eileen Fickes and Mat Orefice.
"With the current cost of living, rising expenses and inflation, it's no surprise some Fairfield families and veterans are struggling to keep pace with home energy costs. This event addresses those needs directly," stated Julie DeMarco, Fairfield's Director of Human and Social Services Department.
Fueled by fun, proceeds from 'Comics Bring the Heat' will cover energy costs for up to 20 Fairfield families, ensuring they can stay warm in their own home.

Standing up for this hearth-warming event is headliner Andy Pitz. A seasoned and highly respected comedian, Andy has appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and is heard frequently on SiriusXM's comedy channels.
"We know the Fairfield community will rally for this event because our residents always support each other, especially in tough times. We can't wait. I know it's February, but it's going to be a hot night!" DeMarco added.
Seven additional stand-up comedians are set to perform: Barbara Miller, Glenn Smith, Mat Orefice, Eileen Fickes, Avery Quinn, Laurie Yellow Sweater and (MC) Gina O'Connell.
'Comics Bring the Heat' is organized and promoted by comedy fundraising group Cause You Need A Laugh (CauseYouNeedALaugh.com), a Fairfield County-based stand-up comedy troupe that creates funny fundraising events for organizations and groups of all kinds.
